U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his Bahraini counterpart, Khalid bin Ahmed bin Muhammad al-Khalifa, on Monday discussed the crisis in Qatar and possible solutions, according to a Bahraini media.

Al-Khalifa underscored the necessity for Doha to comply with the 13-article demand by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, and emphasized the importance of regional stability, the fight against terrorism and those who support it.

The diplomatic row erupted June 5 when the four nations and Yemen abruptly cut diplomatic relations with Qatar, accusing it of interfering in domestic affairs of other countries in the region and supporting terror groups.

They also imposed a land, sea and air blockade.

The Qatari government has strongly rejected the accusations and stressed the blockade is a violation of international law.
