An Anadolu Agency reporter came in second for his story on asylum seekers in a competition organized as part of the World Refugee Day in the Macedonian capital, Skopje, on Tuesday.
The competition on "mixed migration movements in Macedonia in 2016" had been organized by the Young Lawyers Association, United Nations high commissioner for refugees in Skopje and the Macedonian Journalists Association.
The awards ceremony acknowledged stories on "the status of asylum seekers during the mixed migration movements in Macedonia in 2016".
Admir Fazlagic, who is employed at Anadolu Agency's editorial office in Macedonia, was given the award for his special report titled "Syrian Leis never gives up on meaning of his life music".
