The English and Arabic versions of Anadolu Agency's annual almanac, which include 2014’s most important events in Turkey and around the world, hit bookstores across the country Wednesday.

The unique book has been published in Turkish, English and Arabic as part of the agency's centennial vision to become one of the top five news agencies in the world by 2020. The English and Arabic version went on sale Wednesday, while the Turkish version has been available since Jan. 20.

The 2014 almanac, which has been put together by experienced editors, covers 2014's most important developments in Turkey, Asia, Europe, Africa and America.

The Almanac 2014 covers both national and global events ranging from politics to culture to economics, from Israel's offensives in Gaza to developments in Syria to the Ferguson protests. The developments are presented in chronological order.

In the last section, the almanac also includes The Anadolu Agency’s best pictures of the year, which were chosen via online voting.

The photos were taken by AA photojournalists over the past year and were published by leading media companies around the world.

A promotional video of the almanac can be seen on AA’s official website and its YouTube channel.
