Anadolu Agency’s 2016 Almanac is now on sale at bookstores and online bookshops.
Published in Turkish, English, Arabic, the Turkish Almanac is available for 50 Turkish liras, English and Arabic are 100 Turkish liras.
The Almanac is packed with facts, statistics and data covering key people and events from 2016.
It presents memorable events in Turkey and the world, all the way from politics to arts, from economy to sports, and from science to health, in 2016 chronologically, shedding light through striking images captured by Anadolu Agency’s photographers.
The book allocates a special part to the July 15 deadly coup attempt in Turkey that martyred at least 248 people and injured some 2,200 others. That part covers a collection of stories written by the agency’s correspondents as they follow events unfolding on the evening of defeated coup and its aftermath.
