Turkish airlines company began flights between Turkey's eastern province of Erzurum and Iranian city of Tabriz.
A ceremony was held at Erzurum Airport on Friday to mark start of AnadoluJet flights between Erzurum and Tabriz with participation of Turkish Health Minister Recep Akdag.
AnadoluJet flights, which will start as of June 25, will take place two days a week.
Delivering a speech in the ceremony, Akdag said that these flights were of great importance for Erzurum.
Iran had a great commercial potential for Turkey, he said.
