ANKARA
Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan on Sunday said that the Libyan Prime Minister issued a directive whereby Turkish contractors doing business in Libya would receive progress payments.
In a written statement released Sunday, Caglayan said that Libya would immediately pay 50 percent of the progress payments due to Turkish contractors and that the contractors could resume construction activities shortly.
Turkish contractors were unable to receive their progress payments following the end of the Gadhafi regime in Libya.
