The U.S. stock market opened higher Wednesday ahead of the U.S. Federal Reserve releasing its minutes from Jan.31-Feb.1 meeting.
The Dow Jones added 60 points, or 0.24 percent, to start trading at 25,024 points, while the S&P 500 rose 8 points, or 0.3 percent, to open at 2,724 points. Both indexes closed lower on Tuesday to end their six-day winning streak.
The Nasdaq increased 36 points, or 0.5 percent, to begin the day at 7,270 points.
At the first bell, U.S.-based global banking firm Citigroup shares were up 1.1 percent.
Technology giant Apple saw its stock price increase 0.8 percent.
