4.1-magnitude earthquake hits Mediterranean
Quake struck at a depth of 40 kilometers on the offshore of the Greek Island of Creta
ANKARA
An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was noticed offshore of the Greek Island of Creta in the Mediterranean early Monday, according to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
The quake struck the Mediterranean at 01.14 a.m. local time at a depth of 40 kilometers ( 25 miles), the authority said.
No causalities reported.
