Daesh suspects arrested near Turkey-Syria border

KILIS, Turkey

Turkish security forces have arrested three suspected Daesh terrorists who had crossed into Turkey from Syria on Sunday, a military source said.

The men were spotted along the border near the village of Alahan, close to the border in Turkey’s Kilis province, according to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

The source said the suspects were identified as foreign nationals.

The Turkish authorities regularly arrest suspected Daesh members in the provinces of Gaziantep and Kilis, which border a region of Syria under the group’s control.
