Car bombing kills 35 in PYD-held Syrian town
Daesh terror group reportedly claimed responsibility for attack
AL-HASAKAH, Syria
At least 35 people were killed and scores injured in a powerful car bombing in north-eastern Syria on Wednesday, according to local sources.
The attack targeted a recruitment center of the PYD, the Syrian affiliate of the terrorist PKK organization, in the PYD-held town of Qamishli, local sources told Anadolu Agency, requesting anonymity due to security concerns.
The sources said 35 people were killed and 70 others injured in the attack.
According to local sources, the explosion has also left a massive trail of destruction in the town.
Daesh terrorist group reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement circulated on social media websites.
