At least 10 civilians were killed Saturday and 20 others injured in a regime attack in central Syria, according to an opposition spokesman.

Warplanes struck a cattle market in Uqayribat village in the central Hama province, Khaled Hems told Anadolu Agency.

He went on to accuse regime forces of attacking opposition positions in the cities of Hama and Homs.

Since civil war in Syria erupted in March 2011, more than 250,000 people have been killed, according to the UN. The Syrian Center for Policy Research puts the death toll at more than 470,000.
