ANKARA

Baghdad, Ankara and Washington met for a trilateral security meeting on Thursday which focused on Iraq, Syria and counter-terror measures, according to a statement from the Turkish General Staff.

Turkey's army chief Gen. Hulusi Akar hosted his Iraqi counterpart Gen. Othman al-Ghanimi, U.S. European Command Commander Gen. Curtis Scaparrotti and U.S. Central Command Commander Gen. Joseph Votel at the Ankara meeting.

The situation in Iraq and Syria, regional security and counter-terrorism measure were discussed at the meeting.
