Turkish Red Crescent has revealed it will build a disaster and humanitarian aid logistics center in Gaza, Palestine.

"It will be the biggest disaster and humanitarian aid logistics center in Gaza. The center will be handed over to Palestinian Red Crescent," President of Turkish Red Crescent Kerem Kinik told Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview.

He added the project design, tender and construction site delivery of the logistics center has been completed.

Kinik said Turkish Red Crescent also has a lot of other investments in the area, noting that an orphanage has already been completed.

He also highlighted Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency's [TIKA] work for agricultural support, besides micro development projects.

Kinik said TIKA's construction of a big training and research hospital in Gaza will be completed and opened this year.

Turkish Red Crescent president also explained the humanitarian aid work being carried out in war-torn Syria.

He said after the chemical attack on Apr. 4 that killed around 100 civilians and injured 500 others in the opposition-held town of Khan Sheikhun in Idlib province, they went to the area after 3 days.

Kinik said they provided training on chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear to White Helmets, a group of volunteer rescue workers operating in the area of chemical attack as well as providing equipments.
