SANLIURFA, Turkey
The death toll from the Suruc suicide bombing has risen to 34 -- including the suicide bomber -- after 19-year-old Mert Comert succumbed to his wounds in a hospital located in Turkey's southeastern province of Sanliurfa on Friday.
Hospital officials said that Comert, who was in Mehmet Akif Inan Training and Research Hospital in Sanliurfa, died early Friday.
His body will be sent to the Institution of Forensic Medicine in Sanliurfa for autopsy.
Thirty-three people were killed in the suicide bombing in Suruc, Sanliurfa province, on July 20. Turkish authorities have said Daesh was responsible for the attack.
