LONDON
British Prime Minister Theresa May will travel to Turkey this Saturday to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the prime minister’s office said Tuesday.
In her first visit to Turkey since becoming British premier, May and Erdogan are expected to discuss various international issues such as the fight against Daesh and the situation in Syria as well as bilateral political and trade ties between the two countries.
May will also meet Prime Minister Binali Yildirim during her visit, which will follow her visit to Washington, making her the first international leader to meet new U.S. President Donald Trump.
