Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama Nujeifi said that all Turkey has given to Iraq so far was goodness.
Commenting on Turkish-Iraqi relations during a press conference on Wednesday, Nujeifi said that Turkey was an important country, precious neighbor and friend to Iraqi people.
Noting that there had been some disagreements in diplomatic relations recently, Nujeifi said that they needed a new view and communication channels as well as common interest view.
Good relations are for the interest of both Turkey and Iraq, said Nujeifi, adding that Iraqi Parliament was ready to undertake a role to solve problems with Turkey.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu paid a visit in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk last week. He was the first Turkish FM ever to visit Kirkuk in 75 years. Baghdad government has claimed that the visit was "out of its knowledge" but Kirkuk governor, Najm al-Din Omar Karim, said a visa application had been made to the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara and that the Iraqi Foreign Ministry had given "a flight clearance."
