CAIRO (AA) - August 5, 2012 - The Arab League on Sunday made a call on Turkey and Iraq to preserve good neighborly relations based on mutual respect and understanding.
Releasing a statement on the tension between Ankara and Baghdad following Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu's recent visit to Kirkuk in north of Iraq, Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League, Ambassador Ahmed bin Helli said that the Arab League attached importance to Arab countries' good neighborly relations.
We wish relations between Turkey and Iraq to continue within this base as countries with strong political and economic bonds, Helli also said.
