Daesh terrorist apprehended in SE Turkey
Explosive material was seized in operation in Sanliurfa province

SANLIURFA, Turkey
A suspected Daesh terrorist who seemed to be planning a bomb attack was apprehended Monday in Turkey's southeastern province of Sanliurfa, security sources said.
An anti-terror branch team conducted an operation after receiving information about a foreigner's plan to act as reprisal for Turkey's Operation Euphrates Shield, according to the security sources who spoke on condition of anonymity due to restrictions on talking to the media. They did not specify his nationality.
More than 4 kilograms of reinforced TNT, five improvised explosives, 50 meters of detonation cord as well as five detonators were also seized during the operation.
Operation Euphrates Shield which began on Aug. 24 backed by the Turkish Armed Forces is aimed at bolstering border security, supporting coalition forces and eliminating the threat posed by terrorist organizations in Syria, especially Daesh.
