Turkey has power to bring down terrorist organizations

ORDU (AA) - August 6, 2012 - Turkey's Interior Minister Idris Naim Sahin has said that Turkey has the power to bring down all terrorist organizations that are acting on behalf of Turkey's enemies.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday in northern province of Ordu, Sahin said that six Turkish troops and two village guards had been killed in the southern province of Hakkari in a clash with PKK terrorists on August 4.
"Our security forces responded right away. Following the clash that took hours, six soldiers and two village guards became martyrs. In addition, around 20 soldiers were wounded who have no risk of death," the minister said.
Sahin stated that 14 terrorists, including two females were killed during the clash, adding that several kalashnikovs and hand grenades were also captured. 
Stating that the operations under way in the region since July 23-24, "115 terrorists have been killed in total. Land operations are being carried rather than air combatting in the region. Security forces have been taking steps for not letting terrorists flee to northern Iraq," said Sahin.
