Turkish jets destroyed PKK targets in northern Iraq and Turkey's southeastern Hakkari province, the military said Thursday.

A statement by the Turkish General Staff revealed the destroyed targets included terrorist shelters and weapons dumps.

Meanwhile in Mardin -- a province in Turkey's southeast -- two terrorists' bodies were intercepted.

The statement said the remains of two terrorists were being carried to their families by other terrorists in Dargecit district.

Meanwhile, another four terrorists in Hakkari province were "neutralized" by combat drones, sources in the local governorate said.

The sources, who cannot be named due to security reasons, said a total of 330 PKK terrorists have been killed so far in Hakkari province.

The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its decades-old armed campaign in July last year. Since then, PKK terrorist attacks have martyred more than 600 security personnel and also claimed the lives of many civilians, including women and children, while more than 7,000 PKK terrorists were killed in army operations.
