Turkish fighter jets have destroyed 27 PKK terrorist targets in northern Iraq, the military said Saturday.
In a statement, the Turkish Armed Forces said warplanes targeted the Gara and Zap regions on Friday night, destroying shelters and other facilities.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015. Since then, nearly 600 security personnel have been martyred and more than 7,700 PKK terrorists neutralized.
