Interior Minister Efkan Ala says forensic evidence suggests bomber was 24-year-old PKK terrorist
ANKARA
A suicide bomber who blew herself up in a Turkish city last week was a member of the terrorist PKK group, the country’s interior minister has said.
Speaking on Monday, Efkan Ala said forensic evidence had identified the bomber as 24-year-old Eser Cali.
The minister added that six people had been detained in connection with the blast. Last Wednesday’s explosion injured 20 people at the entrance of a historic bazaar in Turkey’s fourth-largest city.
Bursa Governor's Office previously said that a female suicide bomber had been involved in the attack.
