SIRNAK, Turkey
Turkish security forces killed two PKK terrorists Tuesday during an anti-terror operation in Sirnak province.
The operation was carried out in the village of Kosreli in the Cudi mountain region, said a source who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.
The terrorists killed during the air-backed operation on a cave were the regional heads of the PKK terrorist organization, the source added.
Considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, the EU and the U.S, the PKK has killed thousands of civilians and security personnel since 1984, including over 1,200 in the last two years alone.
