Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag on Sunday said that they had a nice trip to Western Thrace.
Speaking to reporters at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport after a three-day trip to Western Thrace, Bozdag said that they were in the region to share the joy of Ramadan with the Muslim Turks.
Asked by a reporter if he held talks with Greek officials on the construction of a new mosque in the Greek capital of Athens, Bekir Bozdag said that "there was currently no mosque in Athens open for worship".
"There are many mosques in Athens from the Ottoman era but they are all closed to worship. Turkey continues initiatives so that a mosque gets opened for worship in Athens," Bozdag stressed.
