Chief Adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prof. Gulnur Aybet said on Friday any force that would be formed with the YPG in Syria is a "terror army" for Turkey.

Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s “The World Tonight” program, Aybet highlighted Turkey’s determination and preparation to not allow the formation of any terrorist along its border.

On the U.S. remarks that a YPG-led border force would be a "local security force in the wake of the stability", Aybet said: "No matter what the purpose of forming a force with YPG is, it cannot be anything but a terror army."

On the U.S. State Department Spokeswoman Heather Nauert’s message on Afrin and call for focus on Daesh, she said it is "needless and injustice to make such a call for Turkey, the sole coalition member which clears so many areas from Daesh alone. "

Criticizing BBC reporter Mark Lowen, who joined the program before her and described PKK as “an outlawed militant group”, Aybet recalled that the PKK has been designated as a terrorist organization by the U.S., and the EU.
