An Irish court revoked an order freezing 100 million euros ($107.4 million) of Russian businessman Mikhail Khodorkovsky, said Irish media on Wednesday.

Dublin-based court released 100 million euros, which Khodorkovsky had transferred to Ireland and had been frozen since 2011.

Khodorkovsky, a critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, previously said that he would spend major part of the money in campaigns against Putin, if the court reversed freezing order.

Khodorkovsky was in jail in Russia for almost 10 years for tax evasion and fraud charges and he was released in 2013 by the amnesty signed by Putin.

Settled first in Switzerland then England after getting released, Khodorkovsky was a big partner of Russian energy firm Yukos.
