Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hand over his seat to Saudi Arabia's former information & hajj minister Iyad Madani in the end of 2013.
Ihsanoglu has been in office since January 1, 2005.
During the 12th term summit of OIC in Cairo, it was decided that Ihsanoglu would hand over his duty to 67-year-old Madani.
Born in Mecca in 1946, Madani held his bachelor degree from Arizona State University. He was the 10th term president of OIC.
