Russia welcomes AA's beginning test broadcast in Russian

ANKARA (AA) - July 23, 2012 - Russian Embassy in Ankara welcomed Anadolu Agency's (AA) beginning test broadcast in Russian language.

Releasing a statement on Monday, the embassy said that this initiative of AA, which had been known with its professional journalism for long years, would give the opportunity to Russians to learn more about the developments in Turkey as well as it would contribute to closer relations between Turks and Russians.
The embassy welcomed the beginning of the test broadcast, and noted that this initiative also affirmed the mutual interest between Turkish and Russian peoples as well as that Turkish and Russian peoples were willing to learn what was going on in their countries mutually.
AA began test broadcast in Russian language on July 17. Russian broadcast will be made from AA's Caucasus Regional Directorate in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Citizens of Russian-speaking countries, which have nearly 300 million population, will have the chance to read, watch and listen to AA's news stories in their own language.
AA targets to make broadcast in 11 languages within the scope of its centennial vision.
AA, earlier this year, began broadcasting news in Bosnian and Arabic.
Russian edition can be followed on "www.aa.com.tr/ru" web page.
