25 international participants from 8 countries to receive training in Turkish capital on economic journalism and finance

Anadolu Agency begins journalism training program

ANKARA

Anadolu Agency on Monday launched a training program for aspiring journalists in economic and financial news reporting.

The program is the latest in a long series of such events Anadolu Agency's News Academy hosts in Ankara in collaboration with the Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).

Twenty-five international trainees have enrolled in the program from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Tajikistan, and Mongolia.

The program will include theoretical training on global economy and finance, effects of technological development on financial markets as well as reporting, photography, and interview techniques.

Hatice Karahan, the senior economic advisor to the Turkish president, experts from the Turkish Economy Ministry; Science, Industry and Technology Ministry; and the Turkish Central Bank as well as veteran editors of Anadolu Agency’s energy, economy, photograph and video news departments will join in the program as lecturers.

Trainees will be awarded certificates at the end of the 12-day/78-hour program.

The training will be delivered mainly in Russian and also simultaneous Russian translation will be provided in a number of courses.
