Esenboga Elektrik Uretim AS (Esenboga Electric Production) signed a contract on Monday with Kinesis Enerji to acquire 39 solar power plants, making it the owner of Turkey’s largest solar power portfolio.
With the purchase of the solar power plants in Turkey’s Konya, Antalya, Ankara, Eskisehir, Adana and Mugla provinces, Esenboga Electricity has increased its installed capacity by 110% to 118 megawatts.
The electricity produced by solar power plants with a total installed capacity of 61.68 megawatts will be sold for 10 years from the date of provisional acceptance at $13.3 per kilowatt-hour with a state purchase guarantee.
The power plants are expected to produce approximately 102.15 million kilowatt-hours of electricity, which will bring the company nearly $13.6 million of sales revenue and $12.8 million of net income in 2021.
