Hydro produces 95.2% of Norway's electricity in April

- Norway produces 10.54 terawatt-hours of electricity in April

Hydropower produced 95.2 percent of Norway's electricity in April, according to Statistics Norway (SSB) on Tuesday.

The country produced 10.54 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity in April, out of which 10.47 TWh was consumed.

In addition to hydropower, the country produced 2.1 percent of its electricity from wind power and 2.7 percent from thermal power.

The largest consumption came from the extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas and power-intensive manufacturing.

The Nordic country's electricity consumption increased by 1.7 percent in April 2018, compared to the same period last year.
