The country produced 11.74 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity out of which 11.58 TWh was consumed.
In addition to hydropower, the country produced 4.2 percent of its electricity from wind power and 2.3 percent from thermal power.
The extraction of crude petroleum and natural gas, and power-intensive manufacturing composed the largest share of consumption.
The Nordic country's electricity consumption decreased by 7 percent in February, compared to the same period last year.
