Spot market electricity prices for Friday, Aug. 2

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.92 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m (1500 - 1900 GMT), according to official figures on Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,000 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Friday's electricity market shows an increase of 1.9% to 1.92 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,718.08 liras and 2,728.82 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. (1700 GMT) while the lowest rate was set at 1,749.99 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 33.10 liras at 2.47 p.m. local time (1147 GMT) on Thursday.
