Spot market electricity prices for Friday, July 5

Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.77 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. (2100-2300 GMT on Thursday), according to official figures on Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,894.99 liras at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Friday's electricity market shows a fall of 8.8% to around 1.77 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,619.74 liras and 2,616.54 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 12 a.m., 9 a.m. 10 a.m. and between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. (2100, 0600, 0700 GMT and 1100-2000 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 2,298 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 32.56 liras at 2.18 p.m. local time (1118 GMT) on Thursday.
