Spot market electricity prices for Friday, Oct. 4

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.43 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Friday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (1400 and 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Thursday.

The lowest rate was set at 780 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Friday's electricity market shows a decrease of 6% to around 1.43 billion liras compared to Thursday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,440.72 liras and 2,449.82 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Thursday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400 and 1800 GMT), while the lowest rate at 1,411.10 liras at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.18 liras at 2.14 p.m. local time (1114 GMT) on Thursday.
