Spot market electricity prices for Monday, Sept. 9

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.65 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Monday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1400 - 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Sunday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,856.98 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Monday's electricity market shows an increase of 60% to around 1.65 billion liras compared to Sunday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,530.84 liras and 2,565.23 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Sunday was set at 2,799.01 Turkish liras at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 235 liras at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT).

US$1 equals 33.90 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Sunday.
