Spot market electricity prices for Thursday, Oct. 31

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.45 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Thursday will be 3,000 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., and between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (0500, 1400 and 1700 GMT), according to official figures on Wednesday.

The lowest rate was set at 1,409.99 liras at 12 p.m. to local time (0900 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Thursday's electricity market shows an increase of 3.9% to around 1.45 billion liras compared to Wednesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,374.91 liras and 2,392.88 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Wednesday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 8 a.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time (0500, 1400 and 1500 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,050 liras at 12 p.m. to local time (0900 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.29 liras at 2.26 p.m. local time (1126 GMT) on Wednesday.
