Spot market electricity prices for Tuesday, Aug. 27

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.86 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Tuesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1200 and 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Monday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,000.01 liras at 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. local time (0200 and 0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Tuesday's electricity market shows an increase of 7.2% to around 1.86 billion liras compared to Monday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,653.91 liras and 2,669.29 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Monday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (1600 and 1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 1,895 liras at 2 a.m. local time (2300 GMT).

US$1 equals 34.01 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Monday.
