Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Aug. 21

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 2.11 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 3,000 Turkish liras between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. local time (1200 and 1800 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,131 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday's electricity market shows an increase of 3.7% to around 2.11 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,838.95 liras and 2,850.86 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 3,000 Turkish liras at 12 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. local time (0900, 1300 and 1900 GMT), while the lowest rate was set at 2,000 liras at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).

US$1 equals 33.82 liras at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT) on Tuesday.
