Spot market electricity prices for Wednesday, Oct. 18

- Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data shows electricity market trade amounts to around 1.23 billion Turkish liras

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour on Türkiye's day-ahead spot market for Wednesday will be 2,700 Turkish liras between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. local time (1200-1400 GMT), according to official figures on Tuesday.

The lowest rate was set at 2,057.74 liras at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT), the data showed.

The Energy Exchange Istanbul (EXIST) data for the trade volume for Wednesday's electricity market shows an increase of 5% to 1.23 billion liras compared to Tuesday.

The arithmetical and weighted average electricity prices on the day-ahead spot market are calculated as 2,403.96 liras and 2,418.97 liras, respectively.

The highest electricity price rate for one megawatt-hour for Tuesday was set at 2,700 liras between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. local time (1400-1700 GMT), while the lowest rate was determined at 1,799.99 liras at 2 a.m. local time (2300 GMT on Monday).

US$1 equals 27.92 liras at 2.57 p.m. local time (1157 GMT) on Tuesday.
