The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced on Monday electricity and natural gas price statistics for 2015.
According to statistics, average electricity prices are around 0.38 liras per kilowatt-hours (Kw/h) for households, when 0.24 liras per Kw/h for industry.
In 2015, average natural gas prices are 1.66 liras per cubic meter for households, when 0.98 liras per cubic meter for industry.
In accordance with TUIK’s statistics, the average electricity prices have increased above 0.2 liras per Kw/h for households and 0.9 liras for industry compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, the average natural gas prices have increased 0.7 liras per cubic meter for households and 0.7 liras for industry compared to 2014.
Turkey's total installed power capacity reached to 73.854 megawatt in 2015.
In addition, Turkey's estimated natural gas consumption is 47.5 billion cubic meters in 2015, according to Natural Gas Distribution Companies Association of Turkey (GAZBİR).
