Turkey hosted a sendoff ceremony in its Tuzla naval shipyard on Sunday for power-ships built by Karadeniz Powership Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Karadeniz Energy Group based in Turkey.
The sendoff ceremony is conducted with the participation of Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim and Transport and Communications Minister Ahmet Arslan.
Regarding the construction of world's biggest power-ships Erdogan congratulated the Karadeniz Powership Company.
'Two of four ships will go to Indonesia, others will go to Ghana and Myanmar. These power-ships will contribute the electricity production of those countries. Karadeniz Energy is diversifying Turkey's energy investments and contributing Turkey's economy, exportation and employment' said Erdogan.
The company supplies electricity to power shortage-stricken countries in the Middle East, northern Africa and southern Asia since 2010. The first power-ship, which can supply 144 megawatt electricity, got into use at the beginning of 2010 near Basra in south-eastern Iraq.
With the latest four marine vessels, also two of them are the world's biggest power-ships, company will be able to supply 1200 megawatt electricity more around the world.
'World's biggest power-ships Osman Khan and Onur Sultan, each of them are 300 meters loa (length overall) and has 480 megawatt electricity capacity, will go to Ghana and Myanmar. Gokhan Bey and Yasin Bey, Karadeniz's power-ships with the 120 megawatt electricity capacity, are prepared for Indonesia' company announced in a press release on Sunday.

Karadeniz Energy proclaimed that it has the biggest power-ship fleet in the world with the capacity of 2700 megawatt electricity with 13 power-ships.
Karadeniz's power-ships are supplying important percentage of electricity in several countries around the world such as, 27 percent electricity of Lebanon, 22 percent electricity of Ghana, 16 percent electricity of Zambia, 15 percent electricity of Iraq, press release said.
The power-ships of Karadeniz Energy are designed by Turkish engineers and producted by domestic resources. Company aims to reach 4500 megawatt electricity capacity with completing the construction of 14 power-ship in 2017, said in press release.
Company produces power-ships in the Tuzla suburb of Istanbul, north east of the Sea of Marmara at the entrance of the Bosporus.
