Turkey's daily power consumption down 0.55% on Nov. 26

- Electricity exports amount to 14,549 megawatt-hours, while imports total 137 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 0.55% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 876,876 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 18.00 local time, reaching 42,258 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,012 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 891,288 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.52% decrease compared to the previous day.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 32.49% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 20.45% share while wind plants comprised 14.24%.

On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,549 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 137 megawatt-hours.
