Turkey's daily power consumption down 10.7% on Nov. 29

- Electricity exports amount to 14,525 megawatt-hours, while imports total 150 megawatt-hours

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 10.7% on Sunday compared to the previous day to reach 737,858 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time, reaching 36,914 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 27,146 megawatt-hours at 09.00 local time.

Electricity production amounted to 752,233 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 10.6% decrease compared to the previous day.

While Turkey's electricity production from natural gas constituted 35.45% of total electricity consumption, imported coal plants held a 24.68% share while lignite plants comprised 15.76%.

On Sunday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 14,525 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 150 megawatt-hours.
