Turkey's daily power consumption down 11.50% on Sep. 29

- Turkey’s electricity exports amount to 8,953 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 6,105 megawatt-hours on Sunday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 11.50% to 663,976 megawatt-hours on Sunday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 20.00 local time with 32,992 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 23,796 megawatt-hours at 08.00 local time.

Electricity production totalled 666,824 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a 11.65% decrease compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from imported coal plants totaling 187,839 megawatt-hours. Hydroelectricity and lignite plants followed with 132,831 megawatt-hours and 130,986 megawatt-hours, respectively.

Also on Sunday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 8,953 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 6,105 megawatt-hours.
