Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 3.55% on Saturday compared to the previous day, reaching 997,227 million megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,749 megawatt-hours at 15.00 local time on Saturday, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage was at its lowest at 33,780 megawatt-hours at 07.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 1,008,504 million megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a 3.54% decrease from Friday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 35.6% of total electricity consumption, wind energy plants held a 14.9% while imported coal plants comprised 16.1%.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 15,043 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 3,775 megawatt-hours.
