Turkey's daily electricity consumption decreased by 4.18% to 828,310 megawatt-hours on Saturday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time with 38,902 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 28,531 megawatt-hours at 05.00.
Total electricity production reached 828,667 megawatt-hours on Friday, with a 4.38% decrease compared to the previous day.
The majority of the output came from natural gas plants with 238,782 megawatt-hours.
Imported coal and hydroelectricity followed with 206,068 megawatt-hours and 164,293 megawatt-hours, respectively.
On Saturday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 6,196 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 5,840 megawatt-hours.
