Daily electricity consumption fell by 5,68% to 827,000 megawatt-hours on Saturday in Turkey, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 21.00 local time with 38,303 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.
The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest point of 29,435 megawatt-hours at 07.00.
Total electricity production reached 827,000 megawatt-hours on Saturday, with a 5,68% drop compared to the previous day.
The majority of output came from imported coal plants totaling 208,833 megawatt-hours.
Hydraulic power plants and natural gas plants followed with 182,420 megawatt-hours and 161,951 megawatt-hours, respectively.
Also on Saturday, Turkey’s electricity exports amounted to 6,516 megawatt-hours while imports totaled 3,306 megawatt-hours.
