Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 0.35% on Thursday compared to the previous day to reach 931,650 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday at 09.30 local time.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 12.00 local time, reaching 45,390 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 30,951 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.
Electricity production amounted to 944,190 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a 0.16% increase from Wednesday.
Turkey's electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 30.79% of total electricity consumption, hydroelectricity power plants comprised 21.30%, while imported coal plants held a 14.19% share.
On Thursday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 16,816 megawatt-hours, while imports totaled 4,687 megawatt-hours.
