Turkey's daily power consumption up 3.3% on Oct. 22

- Turkey's electricity exports amount to 7,888 megawatt-hours, while imports reach 1,925 megawatt-hours on Tuesday

Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 3.3% to 761,998 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.

Hourly power consumption peaked at 19.00 local time with 36,300 megawatt-hours, data from TEIAS showed.

The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest daily point of 26,229 megawatt-hours at 05.00 local time.

Electricity production totaled 767,961 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a 3.7% increase compared to the previous day.

The majority of the output came from coal imports totaling 205,540 megawatt-hours. Lignite and natural gas followed with 137,302 megawatt-hours and 130,774 megawatt-hours, respectively.

On Tuesday, Turkey's electricity exports amounted to 7,888 megawatt-hours, while imports reached 1,925 megawatt-hours.
